Dr. Ryan Gross is thrilled to join the team at Rocky River Orthodontics! Originally from northern New Jersey, Dr. Ryan found his home in North Carolina after attending the University of North Carolina Adams School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with distinction. He then continued his training at UNC, completing his specialty residency and Master’s degree in Orthodontics.
Dr. Ryan is passionate about creating healthy, confident smiles through personalized orthodontic care, including LightForce braces and Invisalign aligners. He loves getting to know his patients and helping each person feel comfortable, encouraged, and excited throughout their smile journey.
Outside the office, Dr. Ryan is also the creator of Mental Dental, one of the most popular online educational platforms for dental students and dentists preparing for their board exams. His YouTube channel has grown to over 372,000 subscribers and 41 million views, reaching learners around the world. He also frequently guest lectures to dental students and orthodontic residents at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry.
When he’s not straightening teeth or teaching dentistry, Dr. Ryan enjoys playing music, serving on the worship team at his local church, playing board games, cooking and trying new foods, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Rosie, and their cat, Potato. He feels incredibly grateful to practice close to home in the Mooresville community and looks forward to helping each patient achieve a smile they feel proud to have!
